No masterpieces again, but since most people seem to like Mimi wo Sumaseba let it be in the spotlight

I highlighted few comedies, but here is another one that I can call a masterpiece - Ike! Ina-chuu Takkyuubu
Anime of the Year 1995-I Winter - Armitage III
Since Maruko-chan can't participate in the contest due to absence of subbed episodes, there are no other masterpieces, and among others I favor Armitage III
Anime of the Year 1994-III Summer - Taiho Shichau zo
Again no masterpieces. As of decent ones, I'd say that Taiho Shichau zo is the one I enjoyed the most even though it's just franchise setup with 4 episode OVA .

Failed to find masterpieces in Spring 1994, so I'd prefer to highlight a decent work in need of translation - Tottemo! Luckyman
Anime of the Year 1994-I Winter - Shonan Junai Gumi!
Shonan Junai Gumi! is the only minor masterpiece discovered in Winter 1994.
Anime of the Year 1993-IV Fall - Fortune Quest: Yo ni mo Shiawase na Boukensha-tachi
It was a bland season for me. Can put any decent work on the cover, but since I prefer adventurer parties, let it be Fortune Quest: Yo ni mo Shiawase na Boukensha-tachi
Anime of the Year 1993-III Summer - Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor 2 the Movie
Can nominate only Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor 2 the Movie and Crayon Shin-chan Movie 01: Action Kamen vs. Haigure Maou as minor masterpieces.
Anime of the Year 1993-II Spring - Gunnm
Don't know how to put it... but I gave away the first genius masterpiece score to Gunnm already. There's also one firm masterpiece Kyou kara Ore wa!! .
Anime of the Year 1993-I Winter - Musekinin Kanchou Tylor
In the end could only point out Musekinin Kanchou Tylor as a minor masterpiece.
VN of the Month September 2022 - BLACK SHEEP TOWN
For the time being, I prefer stories without romance at all, and BLACK SHEEP TOWN is a safe bet for me, as for others, time will show

Mikan Enikki and Chibi Maruko-chan: Watashi no Suki na Uta are the only masterpieces that I noted with priority to original work over sequel .

I failed to find something really good in Summer 1992 season, Kurenai no Buta is the best title among the decent ones, but I still don't consider it a masterpiece.

Crayon Shin-chan is a firm masterpiece and unrivalled winner

What a slow start of the year. Can call just one anime decent, and that's Mama wa Shougaku 4 Nensei
Anime of the Year 1991-IV Fall - Yokoyama Mitsuteru Sangokushi
Yokoyama Mitsuteru Sangokushi is not as spectacular as Sangokushi movies, but I was interested in learning the roots of the story so much that I enjoyed it substantially nevertheless.

I managed to criticize everything again too much, but among decent works I'd highlight Honoo no Tenkousei as both memorable and amusing

I can highlight two borderline masterpieces - Osu!! Karate-bu and Chibi Maruko-chan Movie with original work always taking precedence over recurring one of equal score.

The only borderline masterpiece I can call in Summer 1990 is Mainichi ga Nichiyoubi
Anime of the Year 1990-II Spring - Lodoss-tou Senki
Ended up choosing only Lodoss-tou Senki as borderline masterpiece.
Anime of the Year 1990-I Winter - Chibi Maruko-chan
Chibi Maruko-chan is the first anime that gets a flawless masterpiece score from me.
Anime of the Year 1989 - Venus Senki
First of all, with 100 titles after filtering this is getting totally unreadable, so from 1990 I'm moving to coverage per season rather than per year. In 1989 there were quite a few surprises for me as I could call as many as five titles borderline masterpieces Venus Senki , Hoshi Neko Fullhouse , Majo no Takkyuubin , Tezuka Osamu Monogatari: Boku wa Son Gokuu , Assemble Insert with first one turning my personal favorite from this list.
VN of the Month August 2022 - Natsu no Owari
From two summer works that qualify for the race, my choice is Natsu no Owari
Anime of the Year 1988 - Akira
Akira and Hotaru no Haka are firm masterpieces for me with the first one as personal favorite. Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu and Tonari no Totoro are borderline masterpieces.
Anime of the Year 1987 - Ouritsu Uchuugun: Honneamise no Tsubasa
Ouritsu Uchuugun: Honneamise no Tsubasa is the only borderline masterpiece I noted in 1987.
Anime of the Year 1986 - Shounan Bakusouzoku
No clear favorite this year, but a lot of masterpieces with 7 - Hadashi no Gen 2 , Shounan Bakusouzoku , Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa , Sangokushi II: Amakakeru Otoko-tachi . I don't want to choose, so the winner will be the only series in the list which is Shounan Bakusouzoku .
