Taiho Shichau zo The Movie managed to jump to the last wagon of the masterpiece train.

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Tsuioku-hen was the only anime that impressed me in Winter 1999.

The only masterpiece discovered is Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou

Again I'm being too picky with candidates. Among decent works Serial Experiments Lain is at least one that had potential and intrigue to go on.

Cowboy Bebop is the only masterpiece found this season
Anime of the Year 1998-I Winter - Seihou Bukyou Outlaw Star
Seihou Bukyou Outlaw Star has the upper hand this season while Perfect Blue is an honorary masterpiece
Anime of the Year 1997-IV Fall - Kenpuu Denki Berserk
Kenpuu Denki Berserk is inevitably the winner here, but I also favor Elf wo Karu Mono-tachi II as a firm masterpiece because it's the rare sequel that even surpasses great original. Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Ishinshishi e no Chinkonka can be considered as borderline masterpiece.
Anime of the Year 1997-III Summer - Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion
I ended up giving the same masterpiece scores to Mononoke Hime and Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion , but the latter prevails as it's more psychological.

No masterpiece as it often happens. If I compare enjoyment level of those that I rated higher than others, I'd nominate Hyper Police as it's at least logical, easy-going and with memorable characters though episodic

Among the decent works, Eat-Man probably deserves more praise than the others for novely approach
