Hundreds of years ago, in an age of war, Kageharu, a Shugendou monk, was charged by his master Tenkai with a duty: to subdue a harmful manifestation known as the White Beast, said to steal food from villages and settlements throughout Ashihara no Kuni. Having accepted the duty, Kageharu gathered information in Nakatsu Village, then set out for Mount Kouten in order to subdue the White Beast. The White Beast that appeared carried a great sword and was clad in armor, gallant and dignified in bearing. She had the form of a young girl, beautiful enough to leave Kageharu spellbound. I will show no mercy to the disrespectful." Kageharu's words struck a nerve, and the battle with the White Beast began. Humans or the Tayutai - which will survive?
