I rate both Kono yo no Hate (1994) and Kimi to Ita Natsu (1994) as small masterpieces, but the former definitely has more impact and plot development.
Anime of the Year 2025-I Winter - Übel Blatt
A-Rank Party wo Ridatsu shita Ore wa, Moto Oshiego-tachi to Meikyuu Shinbu wo Mezasu. and Übel Blatt are the only minor masterpieces that I spotted with the latter being of higher quality.

After all, only Kou Kou Kyoushi (1993) really stood out for me, but lots of nice yet not outstanding titles as well.

Taiheiki (1991) was very informative and surprising by the end for me, but other translated doramas of the year weren't good enough.

As expected, nothing could come close to Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to su 2nd Season . But for minor masterpieces, there are plenty - Dandadan , Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka V: Houjou no Megami-hen , Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru 2nd Season , Party kara Tsuihou sareta Sono Chiyushi, Jitsu wa Saikyou ni Tsuki and even Kabushikigaisha Magi-Lumière .

January is basically half-month. With the nukige excluded not much is left.
Anime of the Year 2024-III Summer - Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!
In the absence of serious titles to my taste, there's a whole bunch of great comedies - Make Heroine ga Oosugiru! , Isekai Shikkaku , Murai no Koi and Long Zhong Ren.
Dorama of the Year 1990 - Sekai de Ichiban Kimi ga Suki (1990)
90s start slowly, but accelerate rapidly in releases, so can't observe decade as a whole. The winner by default is the only partially translated title Sekai de Ichiban Kimi ga Suki (1990).

Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai was the only flash in the darkness this time.
Dorama of the Year 1980s - Takeda Shingen (1988)
Takeda Shingen (1988) made a great impression on me while Tokugawa Ieyasu (1983) felt like a firm masterpiece that filled quite some blanks for me. I think I'll just rate everything not translated as 6 for convenience purposes and inability to evaluate, won't comment on those for the same reason except first few when I tried to squeeze smth.
Anime of the Year 2024-I Winter - Kingdom 5th Season
One of the best seasons of Kingdom 5th Season is the definite winner followed by more sequels Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun 2nd Stage and Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 3rd Season . Ore dake Level Up na Ken is a honorary mention as it was mildly amusing despite multiple evident flaws. Chiyu Mahou no Machigatta Tsukaikata is an inspiring start with much potential.
Anime of the Year 2023-IV Fall - Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to su
Best season ever. Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to su was perfect and defeated unbeatable Goblin Slayer II (only because it's a sequel). Saihate no Paladin: Tetsusabi no Yama no Ou sequel left better impression than original. And there is a whole scattering of minor masterpieces - Boushoku no Berserk , 16bit Sensation: Another Layer and Jin Zhan Fashi .

Nightmare came true as in the absence of masterpieces need to choose among above average works that I watched to the end. And I'd rather nominate serious Tengoku Daimakyou than ecchi harem.

I'm assured that anime develops for the better with each season, but can't spot anything but sequels like Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka IV: Shin Shou - Yakusai-hen and Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season - Kanketsu-hen somehow again.

After finishing Chainsaw Man , I decided that it's only getting a honorary masterpiece for the effort of change and any other masterpiece would beat it. And that honor goes to sequel Tiger & Bunny 2 Part 2 .
Dorama of the Year 1960s-70s - Ogon no Hibi
Mydramalist has thousands of doramas, so I exclude all those I can't find or equal/under 30 minutes length or under 3 episodes long or belonging to Detective or Wuxia or Sports or Boys Love, or sequels (unless only sequel gets subs), maybe some more blacklisted categories to follow. As expected, found almost nothing from the 60s and not much from 70s. Among the subbed ones only consider Ogon no Hibi (1978) a masterpiece.

Among sequels I value Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 2nd Season above Overlord IV or Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ougonkyou or Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka IV: Shin Shou - Meikyuu-hen . From fresh works only enjoyed Isekai Ojisan .
Anime of the Year 2022-II Spring - Kingdom 4th Season
Kingdom 4th Season is still great. Can say the same about Tiger & Bunny 2 and Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 2 to a lesser extent. Another minor masterpiece for me is Spy x Family .
